Working Out Your Claim Deadline
The clock does not always start when you paid. A short guide to working out how long you actually have.
The most expensive misunderstanding in consumer money claims is assuming the 120-day chargeback window runs from the payment date. Frequently it does not.
For undelivered goods it usually runs from the date delivery was due. For services, from the date the work was due. For events, from the event date. Section 75 runs for years rather than months. This guide works through each scenario with examples so you can establish where you stand before assuming you are too late.
