Claims management is a regulated activity with a difficult history, and the firms that last are the ones that take the rules seriously before anyone makes them. You will own our compliance framework: permissions, fee transparency, financial promotions, complaints and quality assurance.

You will also have the authority to stop marketing going out, and you will be expected to use it.

What you will do

  • Maintain our permissions and the compliance monitoring plan
  • Review every financial promotion before publication and reject what does not comply
  • Own the fee transparency framework and check that quoted fees match what clients are charged
  • Run the quality assurance sampling programme across live and closed cases
  • Manage the complaints process and produce management information for the board
  • Keep the regulatory horizon under review and brief the business on what is coming

What we are looking for

  • Compliance experience in a regulated financial services firm
  • Working knowledge of the relevant Handbook sourcebooks
  • The confidence to say no to the business and hold the line
  • Precise written communication

Nice to have, not required

  • ICA or CISI qualification
  • Claims management sector experience
  • Experience of an authorisation or variation of permission application

What we offer

  • Direct reporting line to the Managing Director
  • Funded professional study and membership
  • Hybrid working, two days a week in Glasgow
  • Private medical cover and a 6% matched pension
  • Twenty-eight days holiday plus bank holidays

PDF only. Your CV is stored outside the web root and is never publicly reachable.

Application received.

A member of the team will review it and come back to you within five working days, including if the answer is no.
